The Concept of this Association
The TSE Junior-Etudes, what is it?
The TSE Junior-Etudes is an economic and non-lucrative association, compound by TSE students from L3 to PhD.
How to join the TSE Junior-Etudes’ family?
Any TSE student can join the association. All the TSE Junior-Etudes does, is asking the candidates for motivation, imagination and to be able to work within a team because team building is a pillar of the association. How can the TSE Junior-Etudes probably change a student’s life? The TSE Junior Etudes is a student association, created in February 2010. Its aim is to provide students with professional experience inspired by the different courses taught at the TSE. Our members have the opportunity to take part in projects which we call "missions" and provide consultancy services to private companies and researchers who seek our help. Thus, the students can implement what they have learnt in university within a professional context. They also have the opportunity to get involved in the administrative work of the association. The association is composed of various departments, each having a well-defined set of tasks and diverse positions.
All of our members work for the same purpose: to allow a maximum number of students to gain professional experience, develop their skills and demonstrate their abilities and success. The TSE Junior-Etudes moved to the next stage of its story! After being recognized as a Pépinière Junior-Entreprise, the association has moved to the next stage of its story by becoming officially a Junior-Entreprise, a higher quality label awarded by the “Conféderation Nationale des Junior-Entreprises” (CNJE). The CNJE is in charge of helping the juniors, informing them about the current legislations, but particularly controlling the quality of their services and their operations. Furthermore, it attributes, after an application process and a visit, “quality labels” to the work of students which are recognized by professionals as well. The TSE Junior Etudes wants to appreciate all the support we have received, an indispensable help to our development.
Testimonies
Vincent : “Being a member of the TSE Junior Etudes, and more precisely being a project manager is a rich experience that I recommend to every student. Being in such a position, made me developing my professional skills, learning process that I could use in my future life. As a project manager it allowed me to learn some basic knowledge about economic consulting. Taking part in real economic studies, made me grasp the stakes and the issue of economic agents. It was also an opportunity to have an approach of the work of an economist in economic consulting. It is really complementary to the lectures we can get at TSE. It's a good way to meet great people and to take part of the associative life in the school.”
Sophie : “As the treasurer of TSE junior-etudes, I’ve grown as a professional. Of course it's interesting because it makes a link with lectures but beyond that I’m learning to be a professional in a way that lectures cannot teach. For instance, being a treasurer makes me discover management and taught me to carry responsibilities: I build a budget, managed bank accounts, ensured compliance with relevant legislation, and financially advised the board… This is a lot of pressure but such a thrill at the same time. That’s what I like about it: Being part of TSE junior etudes is believing that you don’t need 20 years of career to run a company. Being trusted like that it’s amazing.”
